I graduated from UCL with a BSc in Physics. I have been teaching and tutoring a wide array of subjects since I was 15. From Maths and Physics to outdoor wilderness training and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! But there was always something else about Physics. It is so ‘mysterious’. There is so much to unpack and learn about. Black holes, dark matter, gravity, and string theory all incite an emotion in me asking me to learn more and more. But I don’t want to go on this learning journey alone! I’m often described by my students as very patient, friendly, and a ‘great explainer’ of challenging topics. I love reading about pedagogy and effective teaching strategies for different types of learners and implementing them in my classes. Students often look up to me as a mentor and not just a tutor. What makes me the happiest is seeing a positive impact in my students’ confidence and self-worth. And I won’t exchange anything in the world for it.
