“We have worked in collaboration with Manning's Tutors as part of the Schools Covid Recovery Strategy for the past 4 years. We originally began using government funding through the National Tutoring Programme to support students who had been most affected by the Pandemic. This was meant to be a short term solution. However, the results of 1:1 and small group tutoring have been very strong and we have continued to support students from a range of backgrounds and demographics to close the attainment gap in Maths, English and Science. Manning's Tutors provide a first class service and this has helped us deliver excellent returns for our students. Their personal service, reliability, efforts to problem solve, safeguarding practices AND the lesson space platform all contribute to a seamless service which is value for money. Despite government funding likely to end this year, we as a school have already committed 10% of our PP budget to Manning's because we value the service they provide and the support they offer alongside normal classroom learning.
