Kieran James Judge
I am currently studying a PhD in Creative Writing at Aberystwyth University, and also hold MA degrees in Film Producing and Creative Writing, with a BA in Creative Writing & Film And Television Studies as my undergraduate degree. I love books and stories, and film and television, but also love learning about the wider ramifications of both of these methods of communication. They alter how we perceive the world, how we understand it at a fundamental level, and the ways in which these two subject areas can intersect with almost every other subject, be it history or geography or anthropology or psychology, is fascinating. I follow my interests in these areas by writing short stories, which have been published in many anthologies and magazines, and writing about fiction and film for a number of online sites. I worked as a Floor Runner on the feature film *My Happy Ending* (starring Andie Macdowell and Miriam Margolyes), been a slush pile reader for a short story anthology, worked in schools as a supply teacher, and taught the filmmaking activities at Camp Cooper Summer Camp in Scotland. On top of all that, I’ve been a tutor for Manning’s Tutors for nearly three years.
