I am currently studying a PhD in Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology at the University of Kent. I hold an Honours Masters degree and undergraduate degree in Psychology and have been passionate about the subject since I was quite young. The skills of academic writing has always been a core part of these degrees and so I enjoy passing the knowledge of how to write effectively on to students. I am a patient and adaptable tutor who likes to build rapport with his students and really understand how best to suit their learning needs individually. I strongly believe that, in addition to increasing students' academic skills, it is vital to improve students' confidence in their abiltiies and so I often try to demystify learning by explaining the meaning and underlying skills to whatever I am covering. I love cognitive psychology because I am fascinated by how the mind works. My interests range from more active pursuits like football or handball to more low-key activities in my downtime, like reading, watching television, or playing games.
